Quick update
Lets see if I can bring you up to date on what we are doing and where we are.
First what has been going on, spend the last week in Sturgis South Dakota, yes it was before the 500,000 bikers showed up. And from Sturgis we’ve driven to Deadwood, Rapid City, Lead, Hill City, Keystone and Center City. Plus while seeing these areas we visited Mount Rushmore, this picture includes all the State Flags and Territories
The next day after our visit to Mount Rushmore we visited Crazy Horse monument.
Some interesting information, in the actual the face is carved and the end project is to look like the model on the right. On the actual to help put size in perspective, the small hole below the face is large enough for a 10 story building to fit inside of it and the whole project is being self funded, no government money. The project was started in the late 40’s and at this time there is no completion date.
Someone said there is to be a gun fight here shortly
And it just seems like the Stop signs are out of place here this is all part of Deadwood where Wild Bill Hickok was killed.
And later on we walked to this waterfalls
And can’t forget our wildlife
This is about a 4.5 to 5 foot snake. Other interesting things are twice during this trip we have had deer jump out in front of us while driving on major highways, both times they continued on without major incidences but sure gets my attention!! A reminder have to be always alert and careful.
